A simple question : Is there any plan to support ECS is near update ?
Would be great and maybe not so complicated (?) to support ECS for updating our StateMachine/BehaviorTree. Maybe we can get performance improvment ?
The principal first step in the ECS implementation is to run the owner ECS friendly, but maybe we can get much performance if each state is ECS friendly ?
To be honest I haven’t yet digged into the ECS and Job Systems of Unity, considering that they are very new and still under heavy development, so I don’t want to spend time with it right now since it can very well change direction or API (an probably will).
Once those become more standarized, I will definitely take a look at them and see whether or not, they can offer any performance boost to NodeCanvas 🙂
