      So when I try to drag out a connection for a context sensitive node browser, I can’t select anything if I release the dragged connection too fast. Notice the blue selection highlight not appearing when I mouse over items on the node list. Clicking anywhere in the list dismisses the node browser and selects nothing:

      But if I hold the dragged connection for roughly half a second, the context sensitive node browser works as intended and I can select items on the list.

      This issue persists only for the context sensitive node browser. A right click in an empty space always works without this issue.

      I’m on a completely fresh project on Unity 2019.3.9f1 with URP template, only the latest versions of both Flow and Node Canvas added to the project.

        Hello,

        Hmm, this is very weird. I can’t really reproduce the issue here on that same versions (FC 3.0.5, Unity 2019.3).

        What OS are you under (looks like windows but I am not sure)?

          Windows indeed.

          I’m on a 1440p 144hz screen, would that impact anything? Seemed to work the same on my 60hz secondary screen though.

            So it doesn’t appear to be time related, instead it seems to be tied to my mouse movement. If I stop the cursor from moving before releasing the click – it works. If I continue dragging the mouse after releasing the click – it doesn’t work.

              Now that I’m getting back into the swing of things, this appears to be a general Unity issue because it also happens in Unity’s asset browser and even Bolt. No idea how or why, perhaps an engine level bug or something with my PC.

                Thank you for the extra information. It is very weird. I have not been reported this issue anytime before (nor of course experienced it myself). If you find out why it is happening on your end, please let me know if you can. Have you tried changing Unity version?

                  This is caused by Freesync (specifically Adaptive sync enabled on a Nvidia card). It’s a general Unity issue and affects all node based assets – Bolt, Flow Canvas and even Shader Graph. Search tool for all these assets was broken for me. Same with some native Unity UI such as the radial menu for calling the asset browser, which also was unresponsive.

                  Long story short, I disabled Adaptive vsync and everything works as intended.
