      Hello,

I am updating a project from unity 5.4.3 and NodeCanvas 2.3 to unity 2018.2.16 and latest NodeCanvas and i am losing the trees on most dialogue and behaviour trees (they were bound and after update they dont have any reference to a tree at all), FSM seems fine

The way i am updating is first i update unity, then remove nodecanvas and reimport
I also tried exporting a dialogue tree before updating, then reimporting it after updating and that didnt seem to work (after importing there was a single node with missing references for the actions)

I noticed that there was a big change in NodeCanvas code after updating so my question is, is there a way to update and keep those trees? maybe its a difference in the way they are stored and some sort of “translator” would work?

Thanks for any help you can give me

        Hello,

There was indeed a very big serialization change a long time ago. For about a year there used to be a small tool included for upgrading from older versions and into newer version, but this tool has been removed in recent version of nodeCanvas since it’s been over than a year since that change took place. Thus, unfortunately right now upgrading from such an old version like 2.3 to latest version is no possible anymore, but we might be able to work this out incrementaly. Please drop me an email to ‘support_AT_paradoxnotion’ (along with your invoice ID as usual) and I will try to walk you through some possibilities for upgrading.

        Thank you.
